What Else You Need To Know
Ages We Cater For
We cater for clothing up to 3 years of age. This includes the traded-in clothing.
Pre Loved
We are the sweet spot between selling your items online and donating them to second hand shops. If you have branded clothing to trade-in, great we can’t wait to see your treasures! Please know that you will more than likely receive a higher return selling the items yourself. We’re the option for anyone who doesn’t have the time or wants the hassle of selling the items themselves.
Bring in your great to excellent condition branded clothing, or new with or without tags, and we will make you an offer in the form of store credit. The trade-in of clothing includes all season.
If you are unsure whether we will accept your pre-loved clothing (due to condition, brand or any other reason), please feel free to Contact Us before bringing in the clothing at your booked visit. We do not accept items with stains, rips, missing buttons, or damaged in any other way.
Once a visit is booked, if you have more than 10 items being traded-in, we will do our best to go through as many items as possible and make an offer on each item or as a bulk depending which offer is higher. If there are any items we have not managed to go through within the booked time, if ok with you instead of booking a second visit, we will take the clothing and will let you know as soon as possible of what the offer of store credit is. Noting that sometimes it may take longer to get an offer presented to you depending on how many trade-ins we have to go through at the time.

Assessment Of Items
When we receive your treasured items to be traded-in, we need to make sure that we make a fair offer depending on the items, based on their brand, condition, season, colour, size and current stock.
We are that sweet spot between selling your items online or taking them to the second hand shops. If an item you have, you would consider selling online for $20, we would encourage you to sell it yourself if that’s your expectation, as the store credit will not meet that expectation. We need to make sure that the items we accept are provided with reasonable store credit amounts.
Store Credit Offers For Trade-Ins
All store credit expires after 12 months from the issued date. The store credit discount code for the amount offered, and accepted, will be provided to you either via an e-mail or on a business card. Both options will have the expiry date included.
The store credit amount offered depends on the brand, condition, season, colour, size and current stock. Having a trade-in option means we need to make sure that the items we accept are of excellent condition and no unknown brands, non-listed brands or damaged items make it past our eyes. If items are brought in for trade-in brand new with tags then the specific item will receive 10% more than a pre-loved item of the same brand and same item of clothing.
The offers are final and no negotiations are available. You have the option to accept the offer made, or decline it. We will do our best to accept as many trade-ins as possible, however should there be any items we are unable to accept due to various reasons (e.g. non-listed brands, unknown brands, slightly faded items, pilled clothing, or we have an array of specific items that have been traded-in) we will happily take it off your hands, use our resources to store them and donate them to families in need by posting the items under our “Free bulk loads” on our website.
Sometimes our keen eye for details may let some items slip through with small stains or small holes or any other damage to the item. These items will not be sold as pre-loved, we will make the donation of these items to the Mums 4 Mums Cromwell events or taking them to the nearest second hand shop. Please note that this does not mean that your offered store credit will be revoked, we will accept the mistake we made.
Free Bulk Loads
From time to time if there is an overwhelming amount of clothing being brought in under the “Free bulk loads” we will donate it to the Community group Mums 4 Mums Cromwell for the next Clothing Swap / Refresh event. You can find more information about these events on their Facebook page. The Free bulk loads will be added to the online store under “Free bulk loads” when they become available. Each bulk may contain various sizes and both boy and girl’s clothes. The free bulks are to be taken as per the bulks listed. Any items that you may not require out of a free bulk, will have to be managed by you. We cannot guarantee that these bulks will be available all the time. They will be listed as they become available.
